60 minute session
Created to support pregnancy, labor, birth & parenthood. Safely adapted poses with modifications for each trimester. Focusing on side body openers, intentional breathing exercises, supported gentle back bends, pelvic tilts to ease spinal pains and the growing belly. Preparing for birth learning different ways to relax, coping mechanisms exploring different sensations, how to settle and sink without clenching and visualization of breath-work to help deconstruct negative relationship to fear & pain. Learning how breath helps to face discomfort. Prenatal yoga is recommended by many midwives & OBs as a safe exercise during pregnancy, making sure to check with your doctor first.
Required yoga props for this series: mat, yoga bolster, yoga strap, 2 yoga blocks, blanket

Ease into a new yoga practice or pick it up again if you've been away from your mat for awhile.
Each session will cover alignment, modifications, best use of all the props and focus on two main asanas. Drop in any week to deepen your practice

One day Prenatal Yoga Workshop to learn the many benefits of yoga for the prenatal body. Attendees of all levels and experiences will learn how to adapt and use yoga for the pregnant body with the ultimate goal of preparing the body for labor and birth.
What to Expect in the workshop:
Gentle Movements and adapted poses for each trimester, focusing on hips, core and relaxation. Breathwork (pranayama) techniques for stress relief, energy and labor. Education on anatomy, labor prep and postpartum tips.
